Have I told anyone that I'm having a big gay wedding?
Well, I am .. on the 7th November... And I cant wait!!
To cut a long story a little bit shorter, Ive been to visit the following site for my adults bridesmaids dresses:-
www.aperfectdress.co.uk
APERFECTDRESS
Its fair to say that when I trawled through the internet and wedding shops looking for bridesmaids dress, I could find nothing that I wanted. Nothing that came close to the kind of design I wanted. You see, I had an idea of exactly what I want. Me and Sean are going to be wearing the same grey suits, me with a light blue cravaté and him with a pink cravaté. The whole theme around the day is going to be pink and blue.. with a bit of sparkle to add magic to the day! Im not into the whole "modern" thing and so my invitations have been very traditional. On the photos Ive attached, I dont think it does them justice but Ill attach anyway!
As there will be no men wearing dresses on the day (not until after midnight anyway! *nudge nudge*) I thought I would like something a little bit more exciting than just a bland bridesmaids dresses.
I have 5 bridesmaids and there are 2 of them aged 18 months, 1 aged 4 years old and 2 in their 20's. Ive decided that the babies will wear light blue (pic attached), Jaya will wear the same dress but in white, all costing £55.00 each from www.charmingbridal.co.uk and must say that for the money, they are absolutely beautiful... and our sisters who are acting as maids of honour will be wearing pink.
The pink dresses were the problem. It seemed that I could get dresses made in china on ebay for $15.00 with $60.00 delivery fee. But I didnt feel confident. And then I stumbled on www.aperfectdress.co.uk. She has basically been through around 30 china dress shops, found a decent one that can understand what she asks them to do - and charges a fee for her to act as the third party in the transaction.
So far Katy (manager of www.aperfectdress.co.uk) has given me absolutely spot on service and I have got to say that I feel as if she is really earning any money that she is making from the transaction! I really cant recommend her enough! And the cost of the dresses? £125.00 each.. in the UK, costings were well over £500.00 per dress.. And are they any good?? Well so far, Ive had 2 photos of the dresses and have had 3 lots of alterations made. The final alterations are been put into place as we speak and I should hopefully have a final photo to post shortly...
But for now, Ill post what I have...along with the ideas for the bouquets.. which will hopefully explain the mixture of colour in the dresses! We dont want it to look as though we are two grooms waiting for a bride!
Hope you like...
